Project Manager - Operations New Milan, Italy

THE MISSION As Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving and executing Scalapay's product strategy to support the onboarding of merchants across various industry sectors. From discovery to go-to market, you will be working in partnership with our growth and sales, marketing, and tech teams to drive the discovery and development of new products across our core markets. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be working on the plug-ins, integrations, and interface for the merchant portal, which includes working on and with: onboarding; customer/merchant operations and product. This is a contract position, based out of our Milan office - starting in January, for the duration of 6 months. Your Responsibilities: Own the strategic roadmap and execution of the Scalapay merchant portal across all our EU markets. Understand and analyze Scalapay and competitors’ products from the lens of merchants. Leverage data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases. You will be required to monitor key product metrics and talk to merchants when needed to quickly steer and optimize product performance and roadmap. Work with external partners (i.e., merchants, banks) to ensure smooth integrations between systems, juggling between regulatory requirements and maximizing customer experience. You’ll Be Great for This Role If You: Have at least 5 years of experience in project management in a fast-paced startup environment. Have experience and knowledge of how the online payments space operates. Are fluent in Italian & English (you will work with teams across multiple countries). Are a technically minded person with a passion to keep abreast of market trends and an ever-changing e-commerce and digital lending landscape. Have a clear urgency to move quickly, scrappy when necessary, along with an agile mindset for problem-solving. Can demonstrate examples of work whereby you were directly involved in moving the needle within your product metrics. Can wear multiple hats (this is a startup - get ready to multitask and get your hands dirty). Have the ability to create mockups and UX flow to communicate your idea quickly and efficiently (we have designers, but sometimes speed is more important than quality). Have experience in a regulated environment (this is a plus).
