Brillius - System Development Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure

Job Overview : - We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Systems Development Engineer (SysDev) with expertise in Operating Systems, AWS, and Python. - The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure and systems that support our cloud environment and business applications. - This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities : System Development & Maintenance : - Develop and maintain system-level software, tools, and applications to support the company's infrastructure. - Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, focusing on performance optimization, reliability, and scalability. - Work with various operating systems (Linux/Windows) to optimize system performance and ensure efficient resource utilization. AWS Cloud Infrastructure : - Design, implement, and manage AWS-based solutions and services, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. - Leverage AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, and others to develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure. - Implement automation and DevOps practices to streamline deployments, system monitoring, and resource scaling on AWS. Python Scripting & Automation : - Write and maintain Python scripts to automate system management tasks, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment pipelines. - Develop reusable, modular Python code for integration with other systems and services within the AWS cloud. - Build monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively manage and report system performance and health. Collaboration and Documentation : - Work closely with software development and IT teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and infrastructure. - Create detailed technical documentation and reports to track project progress, system configurations, and performance metrics. - Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders. Key Skills and Qualifications : - Strong experience with Operating Systems (Linux/Windows) at a system level, including kernel tuning, resource management, and performance optimization. - Proficiency in AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch for building and managing cloud infrastructure. - Excellent programming skills in Python with experience in writing automation scripts, APIs, and integrations. - Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles, virtualization, containerization, and microservices architecture. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education & Experience : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 6 years of experience in system development, cloud infrastructure, and automation with a focus on AWS and Python.
