Data Engineer - ETL/Python

Job Description : We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Specialist with a solid foundation in business intelligence, data management, and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, cube design, and data warehousing best practices to drive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. This role requires technical proficiency in SQL, database management, data visualization, and programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities will be essential, as well as the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various levels. Key Responsibilities : Data Extraction & Analysis : - Utilize SQL and database management systems to efficiently extract, analyze, and interpret data, supporting the generation of business insights. ETL & Data Pipeline Management : - Manage the end-to-end ETL process, ensuring data is accurately loaded and transformed, and data pipeline design adheres to best practices. Data Warehousing & Cube Design : - Implement established data warehousing techniques and cube design practices to streamline data storage and retrieval. Data Visualization & Reporting : - Leverage data visualization and business intelligence tools to create insightful, user-friendly dashboards and reports for stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making. Client Collaboration & Stakeholder Management : - Partner with internal and external users, partners, and customers to understand their data needs and deliver clear, actionable insights. Analysis & Problem Solving : - Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct statistical analysis, identify patterns, and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance business processes. Minimum Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - 3 years of experience with data analysis, databases, data infrastructure, and ETL processes. - 3 years of experience in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or C++. - 3 years of experience partnering with or managing stakeholders, including users, partners, or customers. Preferred Qualifications : - Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. - Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools, providing insights and visualized reports. - Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling to support data-driven strategies. - Exposure to full-stack development, particularly frameworks like Angular. - Experience with enterprise-level system design and data management. - Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and other Google technologies. - Knowledge of Google's internal tools, such as Spanner, F1, and Critique.
