Senior Python/AWS Developer - Cloud Solutions

Job Title : Senior Python Developer with AWS (Contract). Location : Remote. Job Type : Contract. Job Description : We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with over 7 years of hands-on experience in Python development and a solid background in working with AWS services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications and cloud solutions leveraging AWS. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, maintain, and optimize Python-based applications in a cloud environment. - Design and implement cloud-native applications using AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudFormation, etc. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and efficient integration with cloud infrastructure. - Perform code reviews, testing, and ensure best practices in development, security, and deployment. - Leverage AWS tools and technologies to monitor application performance and optimize for cost and efficiency. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a fast-paced, production environment. - Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment on AWS environments. - Ensure data security, compliance, and privacy standards are followed throughout the development lifecycle. - Contribute to architectural and design decisions related to cloud solutions and microservices architecture. Required Skills and Qualifications : - 7 years of professional experience in Python development. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, etc. - Expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native applications on AWS, including serverless architectures. - Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Strong knowledge of AWS architecture best practices and cost optimization strategies. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. - Proficient with version control systems like Git. - Knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in Scrum/Kanban environments. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teams remotely. Desired Skills : - Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code (IaC). - Experience with logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools (e.g. , Datadog, ELK Stack, CloudWatch). - Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience building scalable, distributed systems. - Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Education and Certifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - AWS Certified Developer Associate or equivalent certification is a plus.
