SAP ABAP Developer - PLM

Job Title : SAP ABAP Developer with PLM Expertise Department : Information Technology Reports To : SAP Technical Manager Position Type : Full-Time Location : PAN India Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical design, development, and support of SAP PLM solutions within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of ABAP programming, PLM processes, and the ability to work closely with functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows. - Work closely with the SAP Functional team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Develop and implement technical solutions for SAP PLM, including Engineering Change Management, Document Management System, and Product Structure Management. - Perform complex ABAP programming, testing, and debugging functions related to the implementation of SAP modules. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP PLM with other SAP modules and external systems. - Provide technical support and maintenance for existing SAP ABAP and PLM applications. - Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and proper documentation. - Conduct performance tuning of ABAP programs and optimize database interactions. - Assist in the planning and execution of SAP upgrades, patches, and enhancements. - Mentor junior ABAP developers and share knowledge within the team. - Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and PLM trends to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development. - Strong experience in SAP PLM modules and related business processes. - Proficiency in ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, SAP Script/Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms. - Experience with ABAP Object-Oriented programming, Web Dynpro, and Fiori/UI5 is a plus. - Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Gateway, and OData services. - Familiarity with SAP HANA, CDS views, and performance optimization techniques. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
