Software Development Engineer - Test - Load/Performance Testing

Job Overview : As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that will be used to validate the functionality and performance of our applications. This role requires a strong understanding of test automation tools and frameworks, programming, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using the Robot Framework and Cypress to ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Work closely with the development and product teams to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and build effective test plans. - Use Python and PyCharm to create, maintain, and execute automation scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing. - Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate bug fixes. - Implement and enhance test frameworks and infrastructure to improve test automation efficiency and effectiveness. - Conduct code reviews, collaborate on code quality and best practices, and mentor junior team members in test automation. - Perform integration, end-to-end, and exploratory testing to ensure the highest quality of the product. - Continuously monitor and analyze test results, provide feedback, and collaborate with the team to address any issues promptly. - Stay current with emerging test automation trends, tools, and best practices, and advocate for their : Experience : - 5 years in software testing or development, with at least 2 years as an SDET or similar role. Technical Skills : - Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Cypress for automated testing. - Proficiency in Python for test scripting and automation, with experience using PyCharm IDE. - Solid understanding of test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices. - Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and practices. - Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and debugging skills, with a strong attention to detail. Collaboration : Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with performance and load testing tools. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). - Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks (e.g., JavaScript).
