Role : Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) Kubernetes SUMMARY : This is a mid-level engineer position for leading container platform deployment of Rakuten Symphony Deutschland Gmbh. The candidate should be able to lead, improve and maintain the implementation of container platform. We are looking for individuals to join our team in Germany across all functional areas of our business from sales to engineering, support functions to product development. Lets build the future of mobile telecommunications together KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : - Fault & Performance Management : Manage availability, performance monitoring, and for the application layers using a variety of in-house toolsets. - Site Reliability and Break-fix Restorations : Ensure all-time platform availability by way of all faults Identification & rectification - proactively / reactively. Maintain platform service and tenant workload uptimes once they are live by monitoring availability, latency, and overall platform health. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Technical graduation : Required Skills : - 4 years of experience in development and/or maintenance of container platform - Knowledge on container software (Kubernetes, Docker, Calico, Istio/Envoy) and ecosystem - Knowledge on basics of container network and storage integration - Understanding of PaaS, DevOps, CI/CD - Well versed in Computer Language (Golang, Python, Bash), Ansible scripting - Experience in working and customizing opensource DevOps tools for efficient/interactive monitoring of production systems - Putting coding skills to use to design, develop and deploy customized solutions on production systems, to achieve network automation. - Troubleshoot live systems quickly and efficiently running on linux/containerized Qualification : - RHEL, CCNA, Kubernetes (CKA) certifications Preferred/Optional Skills : - Bachelors/masters degree in computer science or related fields. - Experience in operation of container platform - Business English AND German (optional) - Knowledge on test engineering - Coding with python, Bash, Ansible Scripting - Working knowledge over opensource Devops tools, ELK stack, Grafana etc. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset.
