SAS Developer - Data Integration

Job Opportunity for SAS DI Developers with global consulting firm. Location : Gurgaon. As a SAS DI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing the data integration processes using SAS Data Integration Studio. You will work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other team members to build efficient data pipelines, ensuring data is transformed, cleansed, and loaded for various reporting and analytical purposes. Key Responsibilities : - Develop ETL processes : Use SAS Data Integration Studio to build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to move data from source systems to the target environment. - Data Modeling : Collaborate with data architects to create robust data models that support business requirements. - Data Integration : Integrate data from various sources, including databases, flat files, and APIs, into a centralized data warehouse or other target systems. - Performance Tuning : Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability. - Data Quality Assurance : Implement data validation, cleansing, and transformation rules to ensure data quality and integrity. - Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of ETL processes, data flows, and data mappings. - Collaboration : Work with cross-functional teams, including business users, database administrators, and system architects, to gather requirements and develop solutions. - Monitoring and Troubleshooting : Monitor production ETL jobs and resolve any issues or failures in a timely manner. - SAS Programming : Develop and execute SAS code as needed to support ETL processes or advanced data manipulation tasks. Skills and Qualifications : - Proficiency in SAS : Strong experience with SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL. - ETL Experience : Proven experience designing and implementing ETL processes in a data warehousing environment. - SQL Knowledge : Solid understanding of SQL for querying databases, tuning queries, and manipulating data. - Data Warehousing : Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices. - Database Experience : Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or others. - Scripting Knowledge : Ability to write scripts for data manipulation and automation (i.e., Python, Unix shell scripting). - Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues in ETL processes. - Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in data integration projects in industries like banking, finance, healthcare, or retail. - Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, etc. - Certifications : SAS Certified Data Integration Developer or other relevant SAS certifications.
