Active Directory Engineer - Migration Tools

Role : Active Directory Engineer Job Description : Essential Duties & Responsibilities : - Design and deploy Active Directory forests. - Plan for and perform the consolidation of AD forests. - Plan for and enable coexistence scenarios between forests. - Understanding and working experience of consolidation / migration tools like Active Directory Migration Toolkit to migrate users, groups and computer objects between forests. - Use of PowerShell, Quest Migration Manager or ADMT and other automation tools to automate the migration / consolidation steps as much as possible. - Responsible for domain upgrade projects - Customize Azure AD Connect directory synchronization to accommodate mutli-forest and forest consolidation scenarios. - Identify and resolve AD health issues which may impact migrations. - Plan for and perform forest and functional upgrades. - Integrate with teams supporting AD dependent applications on-premises and in the cloud. - Work with customer stakeholders very closely and help in planning, designing, executing the migration/consolidation as well as providing regular and transparent communication to all stakeholder in a timely manner. Requirements : - 3 years in IT field such as systems administrator, network engineer, or consultant, responsible for complex Active Directory Domain Services, Active Directory consolidation. - Proven ability to gather and assess business requirements, develop and present solution alternatives, produce design and migration strategy documents, provide guidance and knowledge transfer to client staff and test/implement approved design. - Core skill set including industry knowledge of Active Directory migration, AD design and planning - Expert level knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services 2012R or higher - Identity and Access Administrator Associate or earlier certification like Identity with Windows Server 2016 is preferred. - Knowledge and experience working with Azure AD, including directory synchronization technologies. - Strong experience with VB Scripting, PowerShell scripting and other command-line interfaces preferred. - Good understanding and experience in Active Directory security hardening concepts including tiered security, administrative forests, or just-in-time access - Strong problem-solving skills, able to communicate in a clear manner and effectively evaluates information to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develop plans to resolve them. - Good understanding in PKI Design MS certificate creation/CA support, Azure AD Connect implementation and support. - Good knowledge in Azure Active Directory configuration, MFA, SSPR, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Security, SSO (OpenID and SAML). - Design and implement the Active Directory infrastructure, including domains, forests, and trusts. - Create and manage group policies for user and computer management. - Manage Active Directory replication, DNS, and DHCP services - Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards for Active Directory - Experience with Azure AD, including Azure AD Connect and management of Azure AD tenants. - Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD (ref:hirist.tech)
