Job description : What You'll Do : As a Software Development Engineer Test, you will design & code test automation/platform/framework of different parts of our compliance cloud applications. It will be up to you to convert product vision and requirements into the finished quality product. At Avalara, you will work on diverse projects that make tax compliance less taxing and more efficient for businesses around the globe. You will be the quality gatekeeper of our various development teams involved in creating primary tax compliance applications or engineering our multi-cloud core SAAS platform. What You'll Need to be Successful : - 4 Year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field - Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in software test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress etc - Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java or JavaScript - Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions and to be and critical production issues - Solid experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats - Experience with AWS services and managing CI/CD pipelines - Experience with a relational database such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle - Experience working in product based organizations preferred (most recent) (ref:hirist.tech)
