Production Supervisor

Key Staffing is seeking a Raw Production Supervisor. This is a Direct-Hire position available in Tulare, CA.

Summary: The Production Supervisor will oversee the coordination of resources, including raw materials and machinery, and lead a team to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality. They will work closely with the Production Manager to achieve departmental goals and uphold safety standards while maintaining product quality and specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Achieve production department goals as outlined by the Director of Operations and/or Production Manager.

• Ensure product quality and specifications are met to the highest expectations.

• Supervise shift employees to ensure adherence to job descriptions and safety protocols.

• Assign and track labor for accurate and timely reporting of results.

• Motivate employees to maintain productivity and product quality.

• Assist in developing and executing cost-saving ideas and projects to improve cost-effectiveness.

• Supervise day-to-day workflow of production employees and ensure adherence to operating standards.

• Minimize wasted resources and assist in planning to track and eliminate loss points.

• Assist in forecasting and planning activities for various production areas.

• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct machine setup and adjustments for efficient processing.

• Enforce safety policies and immediately report any safety or regulatory issues.

• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

• Analyze and resolve work problems, utilizing interpersonal skills to solve conflicts.

• Initiate plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.

• Assist in maintaining time, production, and inventory records.

• Uphold company policies consistently and engage in cross-training for an improved understanding of the facility and business.

• Assist in training other team members.

• Conduct competency assessments with operators.

Required Skills:

• Written Communication: Ability to write clearly and informatively.

• Language Ability: Ability to read, comprehend, and disseminate instructions and information effectively.

• Math Ability: Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts.

• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems.

• Computer Skills: Knowledge of spreadsheets, data entry, inventory software, and order processing systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.

• Two to three years related experience in the food or agriculture industry preferred.

• Supervisory experience required.

• Degree in Food Related Studies preferred.
