Job Description
Our client is currently looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their busy Team.
Electrical Design Engineer
£70,000 - £80,000 – Negotiable
Nottinghamshire – Hybrid
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within the energy sector and have experience dealing with Independent Connection Provider (ICP) Projects or working within a DNO environment, ideally up to 132kv. Within the role you will be working on a range of projects developing electrical designs for substation layouts, earthing systems, protection schemes and control systems amongst the following duties -
Produce technical specifications, drawings, and calculations to meet project requirements and industry standards (BS 7671, G99, etc.).
Select and specify electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection relays) for optimal performance and reliability.
Coordinate with clients, DNOs (Distribution Network Operators), and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Prepare technical reports and other documentation as required.
Produce equipment sizing, layouts, schematics, protection control, keyline, and cable block diagrams. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding organisation that offer an excellent package
