Senior Privacy Legal Counsel

London - £120k + bonus

A unique opportunity for an experienced privacy professional to join in a global position for a an global insurance firm with a heavy focus on tech and AI products. Ideally 4+ years PQE in Data Protection and Privacy.

Working on cutting edge tech.

• Guiding on how best to ensure data protection by design and default is baked-into the design, build, test and deployment stages of all their activities
• Carrying out Data Protection Impact Assessments and providing solutions to mitigate privacy risks
• Overseeing data protection audits and reviews
• Recommending successful compliance strategies and leading on their roll - out
• Assisting with international data transfer and data processing agreements with vendors and other third parties. Providing privacy input to contract negotiations where relevant.
• Delivering privacy staff training to all entities and affiliates, with a particular focus on digital data uses
• Writing and updating privacy and data protection policies
• Updating the Privacy Team on emerging privacy and data protection laws and guidance

What does the role require?

• Law degree & Legal Qualified
• 4 year PQE +
• Experience or exposure to GenAI / AI
• Experience in FS and/or Insurance
• Extensive experience in EU data privacy laws & CCPA a bonus
• Global privacy and Data Protection work
• Data Privacy and Data Protection Experience is a MUST
• CIPP/E, CIPM a bonus
