Job Description

Murray Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper on behalf of our client, a well-established Chartered Accountants firm based in Lanarkshire.


This permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to join a thriving business, providing a wide range of services and advice for businesses.


Main Duties:

  • Managing purchase and sales ledger
  • Handling VAT returns
  • Processing CIS returns
  • Conducting credit control
  • Managing staff expenses
  • Processing accounts to trial balance
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Dealing with customer queries


Experience and Skills Needed:

  • Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role, preferably within an accountants practice or the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using back-office systems such as SAGE 50, SAGE Cloud, Xero, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel and Word.
